Brendan Gleeson chose acting at 34 after having been a teacher for ten years. Róisín Joyce and Eoin O’Conaire, after 17 years in U.K., decided to move from comfortable professional positions in the NHS to start the highly successful Evidence Based Therapy Centre (EBTC) in Galway. Jeff Bezos at age 31 moved from computer science on Wall St.to launch Amazon. At 49, Julia Child published her book, “Mastering the French Art of Cooking”, at 77 John Glenn became the oldest astronaut to go into space…There are more and more examples of late bloomers – people over 50 taking the plunge to follow a dream. We each live one life …in our own time zone.
